The monthly meeting of the Bluemont Civic Association is on December 18th at 7:30 pm.
!!! NOTE THE CHANGE IN MEETING LOCATION!!! WE ARE MEETING AT 5117 8TH ROAD, NORTH, which is one-half block west of Key Escuela Elementary, between N. Edison St and F. Frederick St. There is plenty of street parking in the area.
Based on members' advice, we've decided to end the year right by using our December 18th General Membership Hybrid meeting to share the results of our recent neighborhood-wide survey about what the civic association should be doing and listen to what you think. We will also be using the meeting for an opportunity for us all to come together as a community to socialize, and celebrate the upcoming holidays. We will be at the home of Laura Kirkconnell, who not only lives one-half block west of the school, but has hundreds of nativity scenes from around the world on display. Or, just come for the food, drink, and the fun of being together! All Bluemont civic association members and other Bluemont residents, property owners and businesses are most welcome!
We will be doing a hybrid meeting, so you can also join us via Zoom if you prefer. Here's the
link to register to participate via zoom.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
You are also welcome to come early for the Executive Committee meeting, which starts at 7:00 pm and also will be at Laura's house, and on the same zoom link.
Come ring the bell at noon on Wednesday December 25, CHRISTMAS!
Come to Constitution Gardens, the corner of Wilson Boulevard and George Mason Drive, at noon on Christmas Day and ring the bell. This bell ringing will include CUPCAKES and books for the kids. Everyone, kid or adult, gets to ring the bell. It’s fun for the entire family!
The Bluemont Civic Association rings the bell in Constitution Gardens at noon on every national holiday. (If the holiday is on the weekend, we ring the bell on the day federal workers have off.) If it is raining or snowing at 11 AM the day of the event, the bell ringing will be cancelled.
